We went out for a few hours yesterday (03/18/09). We took some family (sis and bro-in-law), who are down from Wisconsin, out to experience Pensacola Bay. The wind was 12-15 knots and gusting to 20 knots with chop, although for some reason the photos don’t seem to depict the conditions experienced. Wasn’t a smooth day [...]

First sail of the year! It was a great day to be on the water. It was just a two hour sail, but to be sailing in January is awesome!

It was a beautiful day for sailing today. I hope some or all of you had the opportunity to get out on the water at some point today. The Pensacola Bay was ruled by sailboats around 2pm; it was wonderful!

We made it out both days for a couple hour sail each time. Saturday was pretty winds with gusts that kept us on our toes and yesterday was calm and relaxing. Overall it was a great weekend to be on the water.

Made it sailing today, but there was virtually no wind. It was probably around 4 knot winds to start, which carried us over to around Ft. Pickens, but then it died down to nothing, so we ended up motoring back. It was a day on the water though, so I can’t really complain. Hopefully Ike [...]

Went out this morning for about 2 hours and had a relaxing sail. Around 4-6 knots of wind and calm water. Looked like the PYC was getting ready to hold a regatta, because there were quite a few small boats heading out from there; perfect day for it.

Made it out sailing yesterday and had a good time for the first part of the day. Sailed over to Quietwater for lunch, then pulled the hook around 2:45pm to head back. We thought it was odd when we pass a couple of sailboats being towed in the opposite direction from where we were heading. [...]
